That said, we have deep roots in the masonry contracting field, and our panel system was initially developed for our use. Before we ever sold it, we installed it ourselves, which is how we know it works. Our products are contractor-tested and proven in real-world applications.

While Brick It does work with a network of resellers, most do not stock our products regularly and often place orders or request samples from us only as needed. In most cases, your order will ship from the same facility, regardless of whether it’s put through a distributor or directly with us.

The Brick It System was invented by Ron Trezza in the early 1980s. A local cladding contractor with an accounting background and a former football player, alongside the legendary Jim Brown, Ron was inspired to create the system after repeatedly experiencing frustrations with traditional thin brick installations. He developed a working prototype, filed for patents and trademarks, and officially brought the Brick It thin brick panel system to market in 1985.

Ron Trezza was a true innovator in the industry. He remained dedicated to improving building practices until his passing in 2025.

While we’re happy to assist with system-specific component calculations, Brick It does not perform full material take-offs from construction documents. We view it as a conflict of interest to both determine the required quantities and sell the materials for the same project.

Instead, we ask customers to provide basic project information, such as total square footage and linear footage of outside corners. With that, we can accurately assist in calculating quantities for installation systems and accessories.

Determining base material quantities remains the responsibility of the person or party financially accountable for the project, typically the contractor or estimator.
