Overview

Exterior Insulation and Finish System (EIFS) is a multi-layered exterior wall finish system that is cost-effective, lightweight, and energy-efficient.

What is EPS Foam Made Of?

  • Material: Polystyrene, a type of plastic derived from styrene monomer, which comes from petroleum or natural gas
  • Foam: Small, lightweight beads or pellets
  • Structure: Long chains of polystyrene with trapped air pockets
  • 24" x 48" sheets.

The expanded beads are then molded into blocks or shaped panels, often used for insulation in buildings.
