Overview

The DC14 Drainage Mat, based on rain screen principles, provides ample space for drainage and drying between exterior wall cladding and wall sheathing. Featuring drainage channels on both sides, it enables efficient water drainage and air circulation between the cladding and sheathing, aiding in keeping the wall dry. This makes it perfect for use behind closely attached exterior claddings like traditional stucco, stone, thin brick veneer, and siding. Constructed from extruded polystyrene (XPS), DC14 doesn't absorb moisture and resists mold growth.

See UL Classification Certificate A184. 3 DC14 Drainage Mat was evaluated in accordance with the ICC-ES Acceptance Criteria for Foam Plastic Sheathing Panels Used as Water-Resistive Barriers (AC71). The product was installed over wood sheathing as an alternative to building paper or housewrap. All horizontal and vertical seams were sealed with GreenGuard ® Contractor Tape and the interface between the window frame and the DC14 was sealed using GreenGuard ® Self-Adhering Flashing. All other wall penetrations were sealed using either spray foam, caulk, adhesive tape or self-adhering flashing membrane.
